The short version: Shorts Coast collects nothing, sends nothing, and tracks nothing. It has no servers, no analytics, no ads, and no third-party code. Your few settings stay on your device.
Nothing. Shorts Coast has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, and no third-party SDKs. The extension makes no network requests of its own. In App Store terms, its privacy label is “Data Not Collected.”
The extension remembers a few preferences so it works the way you left it — things like:
These are plain on-device settings stored by Safari’s extension storage. They contain no personal information and no identifiers, they never leave your device, and they’re removed when you delete the app.
Shorts Coast asks Safari for access to youtube.com only, because that’s the only place it works. When you grant access, Safari shows a standard warning about extensions being able to read page contents, including things like passwords and credit-card numbers. That’s Safari’s boilerplate for every extension, not something Shorts Coast does — it runs only on YouTube, reads only what it needs to advance and style the Shorts player, and sends nothing anywhere.
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics on this page. The demo video streams from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player only if you tap play — from that point, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies to the playback.
Shorts Coast collects no data from anyone, including children.
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Given what the app is, we don’t expect it to change much.
