Your people, your notes, your reminders — all of it lives on your iPhone and syncs through your own iCloud. Plait has no servers and collects nothing.

Nothing. There is no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no third-party SDK of any kind in the app. Plait has no server for your information to be sent to.
This is why the App Store listing shows “Data Not Collected”.
Everything you write — the people you add, your notes, your reminders — is stored on your iPhone.
If you have iCloud switched on, that same information syncs through your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit private database. It is your iCloud, governed by your agreement with Apple. The developer of Plait cannot see it, and has no means of accessing it.
Sync is available on the free version too. Keeping your own data in step across your own devices is not something Plait charges for.
Plait never requests permission to read your contacts, because it has no ability to read them. It does not use CNContactStore.
Importing someone uses Apple's own contact picker, which runs in a separate process outside the app and returns only the person you selected. From that person, Plait keeps the name and the birthday. Phone numbers, email addresses and postal addresses are discarded — Plait has no use for them.
When you write a note about a meeting, Plait suggests what it was about. This runs entirely on your device: Apple Intelligence on iOS 26, and Apple's on-device language tools on earlier versions.
Your notes are never sent anywhere for processing. There is nowhere to send them.
Notifications are local to your device and are off until you turn them on. Plait schedules them itself; there is no push server involved, and no information about you leaves the phone in order to send one.
Plait Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Plait checks whether you own it by asking StoreKit on your device, and does not transmit or store any receipt or payment information itself.
The developer never sees your payment details.
Export writes vCard and CSV files on your device and hands them to the system share sheet. Where they go next is entirely your choice. Nothing is uploaded anywhere as part of exporting.
Plait is rated 4+ and collects no information from anyone, of any age.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date. Because Plait collects nothing, any change would be a clarification rather than a new use of your information.
